MYERS, Florence S. -- Florence S. MYERS, 92, of Ottumwa, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Lon Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Shinar Cumberland Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Ottumwa Public Library or Shinar Cumberland Cemetery Association.

Mrs. MYERS was born June 7, 1914, in Des Moines County, the daughter of John A. and Idora B. IBBOTSON STUCKER. She married Orval MYERS Aug. 24, 1934, in Fairfield. He died Nov. 1, 1987.

Mrs. MYERS was a resident of Ottumwa since 1936. She and her husband were in the restaurant business for 35 years, opening the Broadmor on Main Street in 1938 and owning Molly's Restaurant from 1946 until 1972.

Mrs. MYERS was a member of First United Methodist Church, In His Name Circle of King's Daughters (Just Friends), Chapter HQ PEO, the Elizabeth Ross Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Ottumwa Women's Club, Art Club and Ottumwa Area Arts Council.

She took classes in antiques, painting, weaving and Ukrainian egg painting.

Survivors include one daughter, Molly NAUMANN and husband Gary of Ottumwa; one grandson; one granddaughter; and twin great-grandsons.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie VANDEMARK, Frances JUNKINS and Lola DAVIS.
