MANCHESTER, Harold J. -- Harold J. MANCHESTER, 82, of Albia, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A graveside service and interment of cremains will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville, with Donna Manchester officiating.

Memorials to the family may be brought to the service or mailed to the family at 12723 Route V-64, Douds 52551.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mr. MANCHESTER was born April 12, 1925, in Loup City, Neb., the son of W. Orrin and Emma BLAUHORN MANCHESTER. He married Virginia MINER. She died Feb. 20, 1972.

Mr. MANCHESTER owned and operated a service station in Fairfield and a cafe and tavern in Ottumwa. He had been an auto salesman in Fairfield and Iowa City.

Mr. MANCHESTER served in the U.S. Army and had been a member of military and fraternal organizations.

Survivors include one son, Michael MANCHESTER and wife Donna of Iowa City; one sister, Millie CREEK of Fairfield; two brothers, Dean MANCHESTER of Douds and Dale MANCHESTER of Bella Vista, Ariz.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
