GARRETT, Leona M. -- Leona M. GARRETT, 86, of Silvis, Ill., formerly of Mount Pleasant, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.

A service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Open visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

A general memorial has been established, and memorials may be mailed to the family.

Mrs. GARRETT was born Sept. 11, 1920, the daughter of Marion and Florence M. BROWN YARGUS. She married Lloyd DAVISON, and they later divorced. She married Clifford L. GARRETT July 2, 1955, in Fairfield. He died July 28, 1984.

Mrs. GARRETT graduated from Fairfield High School. She was a homemaker and had lived in Fairfield, Esst Moline, Ill., Carbon Cliff, Ill., and Oakland Mills for 25 years and in Silvis the past seven years.

Survivors include two daughters, Marian Miller RODRIGUEZ of Detroit, Mich., and Deanna DAVISON of Silvis, Ill.; two sons, James DAVISON of East Moline, Ill., and Danny GARRETT of Anna, Texas; one stepdaughter, Rosemary DeLASHMUTT; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wayne YARGUS of Bagdad, Ariz.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nadine HAGANS.
