David Hall FRENCH

David Hall FRENCH, 64, of Omaha, Neb., died Friday, May 25, 2007, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

A graveside service is tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of June 23 at Evergreen Cemetery.

Local arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mr. FRENCH was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Grand Island, Neb., the son of Walter R. and Frances M. WILSON FRENCH.

Mr. FRENCH's family moved to Fairfield when he was an infant. He attended Fairfield public schools and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1960. He graduated from Parsons College in 1964 and received a master's degree in education administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was employed by the University of Nebraska at Omaha as the assistant director of institutional research, and he retired from there in 1998.

He was a wood turner who made furniture and pens.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eddie and Eric FRENCH, both of Portland, Ore.; two stepsons, Patrick and Kit BARTMESS, both of Omaha; five grandchildren; and two brothers, J. W. FRENCH of Fort Myers, Fla., and William R. FRENCH of New Glarius, Wis. [Ed. note: Should be New Glarus, Wis.]
