FARRIER, Rosalie Theresa -- Rosalie Theresa FARRIER, 77, of Elk Horn, formerly of East Pleasant Plain, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 10, 2007, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the church, with Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 p.m. and visitation with the family until 8 p.m.

A general memorial has been established, and memorials may be sent to Gould Funeral Home in Brighton or to the family at 66082 Glenwood Road, Atlantic 50022.

Mrs. FARRIER was born May 28, 1929, near Brighton, the daughter of LeRoy J. and Kasylda D. PECK LAMANSKY. She married Keith FARRIER and was later divorced.

Mrs. FARRIER grew up in the Brighton area, graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1944 and graduated from Ottumwa Heights College in 1946. She taught school and later worked as a secretary at Rominger Insurance Company in Ottumwa.

Survivors include one daughter, Jane FARRELL of Iowa City and husband John; three sons, Steve FARRIER of Atlantic and wife Glenda, Terry FARRIER and wife Sharon of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Joe FARRIER and wife Jackie of Newton; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl ARNOLD of Brighton and Susan LAMANSKY of Burlington; two brothers, Donald LAMANSKY of Pembine, Wis., and James LAMANSKY of Boise, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, John; and two sisters, Esther EDWARDS and Maryann DAVISON.
