CHURCH, Kenneth R. -- Kenneth R. CHURCH, 93, of rural Bonaparte, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosaqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosaqua.

CHURCH, Kenneth R. -- Kenneth R. CHURCH, 93, of rural Bonaparte, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosaqua.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bonaparte United Church, with the Rev. Paul Rekward and the Rev. ellis andrews (lower case sic) officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosaqua, with Masonic rites by Bonaparte Lodge starting at 7 p.m. followed by family visitation until 8:30 p.m.
Memorials to Bonaparte United Church or Bonaparte Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 21887 Route W40, Bonaparte 52620.
Mr. CHURCH was born Nov. 5, 1913, in Henry County, the son of Raymond and Bessie GARDNER CHURCH. He married Hattie A. COX June 24, 1937, in Keokuk. She died March 21, 2004.
Mr. CHURCH grew up in Henry County and Harrisburg Township in Van Buren County. He graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1931 and then farmed in Harrisburg Township. He had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since Nov. 15.
Mr. CHURCH was a member of Bonaparte United Church. He was a past master of Bonaparte Lodge No. 73, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He had served on the Harrisburg election board, Bonaparte Cemetery board and Farmers Mutual Insurance Association board. He had been a director of Mount Zion rural school and a member of Bonaparte Lions Club.
He was a booster of local sports and was honored with his wife as Harmony High School fans of the year in 2002.
Survivors include one daughter, Mollie BENTLER and husband Gervase of Bonaparte; one son, Glenn CHURCH and wife Patricia of Savage, Minn.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Katherine WILEY of Seal Beach, Calif.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Madelon ANDERSON.
