CARR, Madelyn -- Madelyn CARR, 83, of Cantril, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosaqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosaqua.

CARR, Madelyn S. -- Madelyn S. CARR, 83, of Cantril, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosaqua.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron and the Rev. Paul Rekward officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials to Cantril United Methodist Church or Cantril Public Library may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 28940 215th St., Bloomfield 52537.
Mrs. CARR was born Jan. 23, 1924, near Douds, the daughter of Edwin and Weltha ROUSH ELSENSOHN. She married Murl R. CARR Nov. 8, 1942, in Memphis, Mo. He died April 9, 2005.
Mrs. CARR graduated from Douds High School then taught in rural Van Buren County schools. She was a farm homemaker in the Douds area for 37 years. In 1983, she and her husband moved to Minnesota where they managed a senior housing complex. They retired to Cantril in 1991.
Mrs. CARR was a member of Cantril United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had previously been a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Douds.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Ann GRAF and husband Richard of rural Bloomfield; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry CARR; one infant daughter, Judith CARR; and four sisters, Erma STEARNS, Frances SPEES, Agnes ELSENSOHN and Janet ELSENSOHN.
