CAROLAN, Mary Adella -- Mary Adella CAROLAN, 64, of Fairfield, died Thursday, March 15, 2007.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. The body will be cremated.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairfield Public Library. Cards and memorials may be sent to 500 W. Adams Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. CAROLAN was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Cresco, the daughter of Layle A. and Roselyn HAUBER RYAN. She married Jim CAROLAN April 25, 1964. They later divorced.

Mrs. CAROLAN lived in Fairfield for the past 33 years. She retired from Morrissey Law Offices in Fairfield where she was a legal secretary.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield and BPOE No. 1192 in Fairfield.

She enjoyed reading to her granddaughters, sewing, cooking and collecting dolls.

Survivors include her mother of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Brenda CAROLAN and husband Jeremy of Portland, Ore., and Chris EDDY and husband Joe of Fairfield; two granddaughters; two sisters, Rosetta SHEDA of Rochester, Minn., and Patricia BARTA of Denver, Colo.; and two brothers, Steve RYAN of Cedar Rapids and Earl RYAN of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Kevin RYAN.
