Delbert L. CARLBERG, 49, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., formerly of Eldon, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, in Destin, Fla.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon. Interment will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mr. CARLBERG was born March 16, 1957, in Ottumwa, the son of W. Lee and Shirley HILL CARLBERG. He married Connie HRAHA Feb. 21, 1996, in Fairfield.
Mr. CARLBERG was raised and educated in Eldon, having attended Cardinal High School. He worked for Chain & Cable in Fairfield, was an operational manager for the Packwood Gain Elevator, a maintenance manager for Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, was employed at USA Global Link in Fairfield for seven years and was a general contractor for several years. He had been a truck driver for Grain Train Express in Bloomfield since 2002.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Drakesville; his father and stepmother Sue of Eldon; and two brothers Kevin CARLBERG of Bloomfield and Scott CARLBERG of Wilson, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard and Ruby CARLBERG and Tom and Faye HILL and one brother, Dwight CARLBERG.
