Martha CLABAUGH passed away peacefully on December 10, 2006, at her home at 904 E Madison Ave, Fairfield, Iowa. She was ninety-three.

Martha attended Peabody College of Nursing and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. She practiced in many fields of nursing for forty years, including service as a US Naval lieutenant during the second world war.

Martha was married to Hinton Graves CLABAUGH of Chicago, Illinois in October of 1951, and resided in the Washington, DC area before moving to Fairfield in 1990. She loved meditating, music, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Martha is survived by her sister Myrtle CARROLL of Tennessee, her children Hinton CLABAUGH and Jane FLESHMAN, her son-in-law David FLESHMAN, her grandchildren Matthew FLESHMAN and David FLESHMAN, all of Fairfield, and her brother-in-law George CLABAUGH of Hanover, NH,

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Saint Clair and Hattie Mae RUCKER, her brother James, and her sisters Amelia, Marveline, Leola, and Dortha.
