Johnnie I. WILLIAMS, 76, of rural Libertyville, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, while working on his farm.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Rev. Len Garrison and the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church or Douds First Responders may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 15008 105th Road, Libertyville 52567.

Mr. WILLIAMS was born Aug. 24, 1929, on the same family farm where he died, the son of John Franklin and Aletha Bowers WILLIAMS. He married Evelyn J. COCHRAN July 28, 1957, in Milan, Mo. She preceded him in death March 5, 2002.

Mr. WILLIAMS lived his entire life on the Williams family farms between Libertyville and Douds. In addition to farming, he had been employed by the Fairfield Community School District for 29 years.

Mr. WILLIAMS served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Steven WILLIAMS of Cream Ridge, N.J. and James WILLIAMS and wife Barb of Libertyville; one daughter, JoAnn WRAY and husband Mark of Columbia, Mo.; five grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene TEDROW of Fairfield.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Russell WILLIAMS; and one sister, Pauline DIEHL.
