Fri., June 12, 2006, p. 8.Grace E. WATSON, 95, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery.
Open visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-7 p.m.
A memorial has been established to the activity fund at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. WATSON was born May 30, 1911, in Henry County, the daughter of William S. and Doris C. Harper WILLIS. She married Jesse L. WATSON Oct. 16, 1940, in Centerville.
Mrs. WATSON and her husband owned and operated the Pittsburg Paint Store in Salem for many years. She was a cook at the PEO home and at Henry County Health Center, both of Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. WATSON was a Methodist. She was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mount Pleasant, as well as a pinochle card club.
She enjoyed decorating cakes.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, including Helen MOEHLE of Stockport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Paul, Tom and George; and three sisters, Cora MATTINSON, Mary WILLIAMSON and Edith in infancy.
