Eunice V. TEETER, 81, of Birmingham, died at 5:46 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

A memorial has been established to the family.

Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. TEETER was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Burlington, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth K. Bowman SHONDEL. She married Devene OGDEN, Elmer A. COLLETT and Jasper W. “Jack” TEETER Sr., all of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. TEETER was a resident of Ottumwa most of her life, but had lived in Birmingham since 1991. She worked at John Morrell and Company and owned and operated Teeter Upholstery in Ottumwa. She retired in 1977.

Mrs. TEETER was a member of First Church of the Open Bible.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry OGDEN and wife Christine of Libertyville, Rick OGDEN of Ottumwa and Jasper W. “Jack” TEETER Jr. of Birmingham; five daughters, Gypsy CREECH of Ottumwa, Cheryle MCDANIEL and husband Charlie of Ottumwa, Tamara BOUGHTON and husband David of Cantril, Dawn BOUGHTON of Ottumwa and Tycene CLINE of Kahoka, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Alice.

She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter and two brothers, Clarence SHONDEL and infant brother Everett SHONDEL.
