Oscar Aaron TEDROW, 70, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City as the result of a motorcycle accident near Memphis, Mo.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Henkenius-Priester Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Kramer Smith officiating with assistance from Barb Hagerla and Dee Wiley. The body has been cremated. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the family present from 4-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Barker United Methodist Church or Mount Moriah Cemetery Association in Van Buren County.

Mr. TEDROW was born Dec. 16, 1935, in rural Van Buren County, the son of Brice E and Dorothy E. Laughlin TEDROW. He married Ilene M. FICKEL Oct. 16, 1955, in Batavia. She died in July 1969. He married Sally A. JONES Aug. 1, 1970, at Barker United Methodist Church in Scotland County, Mo.

Mr. TEDROW graduated from Douds High School. He was a farmer in Van Buren County and Downing, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lynda HENNING of Great Falls, Mont., and Amanda MORRIS of Fort Worth, Texas; three sons, Dan of Milton, Dale of Douds and Darryl TEDROW of Libertyville; 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary TEDROW of Venice, Calif., and Marcia POLLOCK of Madison, Wis.; and two brothers, Joe TEDROW of Mesa, Ariz., and Lawrence TEDROW of Douds.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Carol and Dwain TEDROW.
