Mon., June 5, 2006, p. 9.Aaron L. SWARTZ, of Batavia, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, with the Revs. David Albert and Thomas Shipley officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.
Open visitation began at 1 p.m. today at the church, where the family will be present from 7-8:30 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. SWARTZ was born Jan. 12, 1988, in Fairfield, the son of Richard and Carla Bennett SWARTZ.
Mr. SWARTZ was raised and educated in Batavia. He graduated from Cardinal High School in 2006. He had been employed at Hy-Vee Food Store in Fairfield.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, FFA and American Motorcycle Association.
Survivors include his father of Batavia; his mother and stepfather Dennis DAVIS of Batavia; three sisters, Amanda COUNTRYMAN of Batavia and Allison and Kaitlin SWARTZ of Batavia; two brothers, Alex DAVIS and Kyle LAPOINT OF Batavia; seven grandparents, Anna SWARTZ of Batavia, Bill and Mickey LUNSFORD of Keosauqua, Larry and Shirley DAVIS of Batavia and Roger and Marty BENNETT of Omaha, Neb; two great-grandparents, Carol BROWN of Batavia and Florence WHITMORE of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by one grandfather and two great-grandfathers.
