Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Wed., Sept. 6, 2006, p. 8.Lawrence Lloyd “Larry” POHREN, 58, of 2475 Highway 1, died of an apparent heart attack Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at his home.
A service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with a Catholic Wake service at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s chosen charity.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Mr. POHREN was born Jan. 1, 1948, in Fairfield, the son of Richard Peter and Annabelle Caviness POHREN. He married Elizabeth DAVITT Oct. 8, 1966, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.
Mr. POHREN grew up in the Pleasant Plain community and attended Pleasant Plain school. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1966. He was a farmer. He had driven a truck for Dickey’s Transport for more than 20 years and was until his death an agricultural technician for 10 years at Jefferson County Equipment in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Jennifer BAKER and husband Mike of Ogallala, Neb., Jake POHREN and wife April of Pleasant Plain and Megan SMITHBURG and husband Erik of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; his mother of Fairfield; three sisters, Kay ADAM of Fairfield, Jean YELOVICH of West Bend, Ind., and Rita POHREN of Pleasantville; and three brothers, Dick POHREN of Pleasant Plain and Mark POHREN and Bob POHREN, both of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey, and his father.
