Helen POLSON, 91, of Keosauqua, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to PO Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. POLSON was born May 27, 1915, near Douds, the daughter of Harley E. and Jessie Morrison PLOWMAN. She married Lloyd POLSON March 26, 1966. He died June 28, 1994.

Mrs. POLSON lived most of her life in the Douds community. She graduated from Douds-Leando High School in 1932 and from Parsons College. She taught school and helped operate a family farm south of Douds. She had lived several years at Center Village Care Center in Keosauqua and had lived at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center since March 13.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Letha PLOWMAN.
