Glenn Edwin PEARSON, 100, of rural Libertyville died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, at home.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials to Mount Zion Community Church or Libertyville Community Center may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 15117 105th Road, Libertyville 52567.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Mr. PEARSON was born Nov. 5, 1905, in the Bethel community northwest of Birmingham, the son of Charles E. and Pearl McClain PEARSON. He married Ellen TEDROW Nov. 6, 1928, at her parents’ home.

Mr. PEARSON grew up in the Mount Zion community southwest of Libertyville. He attended Des Moines No. 5 elementary school and graduated from Libertyville High School in 1924. He was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Mount Zion Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marjorie NAVIN and husband Paul of Des Moines and Virginia HANKS and husband Darrell of New London; three sons, Melvin PEARSON and wife Bonnie of Des Moines, Glenn Edward PEARSON of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Warren PEARSON and wife Dona of Libertyville; one daughter–in-law, Connie PEARSON of Rockford, Ill,; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nellie DAVISSON of Indianola and Gladys BACHMANN of West Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Raymond and Kenneth PEARSON; two brothers, Rodney and Leslie PEARSON; and four sisters, Grace FRAZIER, Beulah HERRIOTT, Florence HORN and Katharyn PARKS.
