Gerald “Lefty” PASCH, 81, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Marvin Robeck officiating.

Family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Walton Club and sent to 105 N. Cromwell, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. PASCH was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Cuba, Mo., the son of August and Ada Mundy PASCH. He married Gladys Maxine HELGELAND Sept. 4, 1949, at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Mr. PASCH was a resident of the Fairfield area for 75 years. He was a self-employed barber for 35 years and owner of Lefty’s Real Estate for 25 years.

Mr. PASCH was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, retiring with the rank of major.

Mr. PASCH was a member of Walton Club, BPOE No. 1192, Iowa Realty Association, Fairfield MLS, and Isaac Walton League. He was a past president of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Karen ARMSTRONG of Kirksville, Mo.; one son, Perry PASCH of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and one sister, Violet GAVEN of Sacramento, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son; one daughter; two sisters, Carmalee GILLASPIE and Norma Jean HOLCOMB; and one brother, George PASCH.
