Elizabeth Othelia Edmund PETERSON, 94, of Rock Island, Ill., died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Pathway Hospice, Trinity at Terrace Park in Bettendorf.

A service was held Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Moline, Ill. Burial was in Moline Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Moline or ARC.

Mrs. PETERSON was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Jefferson County,, the daughter of Amos and Minnie Odean EDMUND. She married Elmer C. PETERSON June 27, 1935, in Jefferson County. He died April 18, 1984.

Mrs. PETERSON graduated from Lockridge High School.

Mrs. PETERSON was a member of First Lutheran Church in Moline, Margaret Bottome-McGee Circle of King’s Daughters and Augustana Endowment Society.

She enjoyed sewing, bridge, traveling and spending time with others.

Survivors include four children, Charles PETERSON and wife Lois of Rockford, Ill., Russell PETERSON and wife Carolyn of Moline, Anne SORENSEN and husband Robert of St. James, Minn., and John PETERSON of Moline; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Louise EGGER of Moline, Lewis EDMUND of Fairfield and Richard EDMUND of Houston, Texas.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Margie PETERSON; one brother, Rudy EDMUND; and one sister, Bernice CAVE.
