Jack Russell GRABY, 76, of Fairfield, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz and the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial of cremains will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, Dialysis Unit of Mount Pleasant or Fairfield Eagles Lodge (sic - Club/Aerie) 1927 and sent to 2205 185th St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. GRABY was born Oct. 7, 1929, the son of Rex Henry and Edna Mae KRUMBOLTZ GRABY. He married Edythe Joyce OGDEN June 3, 1956, at First Christian Church in Fairfield.

Mr. GRABY lived his entire life in the Fairfield community and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1948. He was a farmer all his life and retired in 2003.

Mr. GRABY was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War (sic - Korean Conflict).

Mr. GRABY attended First United Methodist Church and was a member of VFW Post 2271 and Fairfield Eagles Lodge (sic) 1927.

Mr. GRABY enjoyed the coffee fellowship every morning at Econofoods and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife and one brother, Merlin GRABY of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger GRABY.
