Dorothy Lucille HUDSON, 86, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Nelson Nursing Home.

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. James McGaffey and the Rev. Mike Metz officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church in Fairfield or American Diabetes Association. Cards and memorials may be sent in care of 2263 Figtree Ave., Batavia 52533.

Mrs. HUDSON was born June 12, 1920, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of David and Lucy Kimmel MCGAFFEY. She married Frank F. HUDSON June 12, 1941. He died July 28, 1992.

Mrs. HUDSON graduated from Washington High School. She was employed as a sales clerk at Martha Brown Ltd. clothing store in Fairfield.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and a number of Bible study and prayer groups. She also was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna BRUNER and husband Ronald of Batavia and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerald MCGAFFEY and John MCGAFFEY.
