Brian Edward “Dog” HOWARD, 46, of Fairfield, formerly of New London, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.

A private graveside service will be held Friday in Wright Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials to the family may be sent to Behner Funeral Home, 203 S. Main St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. HOWARD was born July 8, 1959, in Arlington, Calif., the son of Arthur Everett and Madine Bee Chesser HOWARD. He married Heidi VOSS Feb. 25, 2006, in Fairfield.

Mr. HOWARD was employed in maintenance at Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company. His interests included motorcycles, car mechanics, over the road trucking, golfing and spending quality time with his family.

Survivors include his mother of New London; his wife; three children, Jeremy D. HOWARD of Mount Pleasant, Jesse J. HOWARD who is serving with the U.S. Marine Corps and Cassandra HOWARD of Johnston; one step-son, Kevin HESTON Jr. of Fairfield; two grandchildren; four sisters, Marcella HANSON. Henrietta COUSINS and Terri SEMBACH, all of New London and Joyce PRUDIE of Haysville, Kan.; and one brother, Tommy HOWARD of New London.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brothers.
