Betty J. HARPER, 64, of Fairfield died Sunday morning, Aug. 20, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Betty J. HARPER

Betty J. HARPER, age 65, of Fairfield died at 10:52 A.M. Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Elizabeth Jean HARPER was born April 12, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Paul Howard and Pauline Louise JUNKINS HARPER.

Betty grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1960. She married Roger STANTON, they were divorced. She later married Dennis HOOTMAN, they were divorced.

Betty worked at the Fairfield Ledger and had worked as an administrative assistant before her retirement, due to ill health.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her daughter Kim STANTON of Fairfield; 2 sons Scott HOOTMAN of Springfield, MO, and Dan HOOTMAN of Granite Falls, Washington; 3 grandchildren Jessica POTSANDER, Cameron SALES and Mason HAYNES, 3 brothers Bob HARPER of Choctaw, OK, Bill HARPER of Napa, CA, and Barry HARPER of Fairfield; and her sister Bonny ADAMS of Arlington, TX.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Dave Elmore officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will be present on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home to receive friends.

Contributions can be made to Noah’s Ark, in memory of Betty J. HARPER.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
