PACKWOOD — Dr. Dale E. GARRELS, 70, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Packwood, died July 23, 2006, at Parkview Home, Wayland.

Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Revs. Dr. Edward R. Peterson and Pat Youngquist officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, Mount Pleasant, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory have been established to the First United Methodist Church or Iowa Wesleyan College.
