Kathryn Eulalia CHAMP, 84, of Fairfield, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Community Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jim McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Open visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to New Life Community Church missions or the Parkview Care Center activity fund and sent to 402 W. Briggs Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Ms. CHAMP was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Fairfield, the daughter of Fay Oral and Eulalia Sylvania CARLOW CHAMP.

Ms. CHAMP was a 1940 graduate of Fairfield High School. She was an office clerk at Woolworth’s department store for 18.5 years and at Spurgeon’s department store for another 22.5 years.

Ms. CHAMP was a member of Free Methodist Church and was the Sunday school treasurer, as well as a steward and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of Women’s Missionary International.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and three sisters, Marion, Clarence, Wayne, John, Oren, Robert, Jean CHAMP, Mary KISLING and Charlotte CHAMP.
