Tuesday, May 9, 2006, Pg. 8.Ronald Thomas “Tom” BLIESENER, 55, of Fairfield, formerly of Burlington, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Washington County Hospital.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. JudyAnn Morse officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Open visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. Family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
A memorial has been established.
Mr. BLIESENER was born Nov. 22, 1950, the son of Ronald and Roberta Gabeline BLIESENER. He married Tammy Kiersey June 28, 1970.
Mr. BLIESENER was a 1969 graduate of Burlington High School. He attended Southeastern Community College, Iowa State University and University of Iowa. He was a member Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at ISU. He worked in construction and resided at Cedar Creek Rescare Facility in Fairfield for the past 15 years.
Mr. BLIESENER was a member of First United Church of Christ in Burlington.
He enjoyed phone calls and family visits, reading The Hawk Eye, sharing pictures of his grandchildren and following Hawkeye games.
Survivors include one son, Josh LAMM and wife Shelly of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; his mother of Burlington; and three brothers, Jerry BLIESENER Sr., Richard BLIESENER and Robert BLIESENER, all of Burlington.
His father, Ronald BLIESENER, preceded him in death.
