Thursday, April 13, 2006, Pg. 10.Ruth E. BELL, 67, of rural Mount Sterling, died at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Mike Shea officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with family present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 27183 Lark Ave., Mount Sterling 52573.
Mrs. BELL was born Aug. 11, 1938, in Cantril, the daughter of Eugene and Willa Cantril MAGORIAN. She married Clarence L. Bjork Jr. They divorced. She married James S. Bell March 24, 1981, in Rock Island, Ill.
Mrs. BELL graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1955 and attended Iowa State University. She lived in Moline and East Moline, Ill., for many years and worked at Servus Rubber Company of Rock Island. She retired to a farm near Mount Sterling in 1989.
Mrs. BELL was a member of Amazing Grace Bible Church in Kahoka, Mo.
She enjoyed reading western novels and caring for her chickens, cats and other animals.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Jane HILL and husband Jerry of Silvis, Ill,; three sons, Jay BJORK and wife Tammy of Auburn, Ill., Joel BJORK and wife Stephanie of East Moline and Matthew BELL of Mount Sterling; two stepdaughters, Kathy HOGGARD and husband Rob of Durant and Theresa BELL of Greenfield, Ind.; one stepson, James E. BELL of Durant; 11 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and her father of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Carolyn BROTHERTON.
