Sept. 11, 2006, Pg. 10.Helen E. BEASLEY, 94, of Libertyville died at 2:02 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, with the Rev. Michael Renken and Rev. Larry Eklund officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Libertyville playground and left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 11201 Evergreen Ave., Libertyville 52567.
Mrs. BEASLEY was born Feb. 9, 1912 in the Mount Zion community southwest of Libertyville, the daughter of Harry and Mabel Miller OVERTURFF. She married Leland C. BEASLEY. He died March 14, 1959.
Mrs. BEASLEY graduated from Selma High School and attended Iowa State College. She lived most of her life in the Mount Zion and Libertyville area. She was active in the operation of the family farm.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville and Twin City Chapter No. 258 Order of Eastern Star in Douds. She had been a 4-H leader.
Survivors include on son, Carrol BEASLEY and wife Jeanette of Libertyville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Hiel OVERTURFF.
