Thurs., April 20, 2006, Pg. 10.Gale Emma BARROWS, 54, of Bonaparte, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at home.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bonaparte Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Wallingford officiating.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 87, Bonaparte 52620.
Mrs. Barrows was born July 24, 1951, in Keokuk, the daughter of John and Lillie Davis VERMEESCH. She married Stanley BARROWS in 1971.
Mrs. BARROWS grew up in Keokuk, lived in rural Lee County and moved to Bonaparte in 1992.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Missy CARLSON of Farmington, Lena BARROWS of Farmington; Peggy BARROWS of Bonaparte and Crystal BECKER of Bonaparte; one son, Stanley BARROWS Jr. of Texarkana, Ark., nine grandchildren; two sisters, Norma STEFFENSMEIER and Zenia VERMEESCH, both of Keokuk; two brothers, Earl and Perry VERMEESCH, both of Keokuk; two half-sisters, Betty KNIGHT of Elvaston, Ill., and Frances STARK of Keokuk; and one half-brother, John STARK of Keokuk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Evelyn; two half-brothers; three half-sisters; and three grandchildren.
