OLD RESIDENT DEAD. The death of J. F. NELSON occurred Sat. morning at the home of his son, Lemuel J. NELSON, on West Washington Street, after an illness of short duration.

Native of Sweden, coming to this country when only a boy. He was one of the pioneers of this county, having lived in Salina for over 50 years. A highly esteemed citizen, he was well and favorably known over the entire county. The past few years he has made his home with his sons in this city, Harvey A., Lemuel J., and Frank O. NELSON, who survive.

Funeral services were held in the Swedish Lutheran Church at Salina Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. E. Ward. Interment was made in the church yard of the above named church.
