Isaac SHANSTROM Dies At Hospital

Death came Monday afternoon to Isaac SHANSTROM, retired farmer and a life-time resident of Jefferson county.

He had been in failing health for the past several months and was taken to the Jefferson county hospital yesterday morning. He passed away at 3:45 p.m.

Last rites will be Thursday at the Hoskins Funeral home with Dr. L. L. Wies in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Isaac SHANSTROM, 77, was born Jan. 16, 1877, in Jefferson county, northwest of Fairfield. He was the son of the late John P. and Gustava BURKE SHANSTROM. He was united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1928 to Anna J. BATES who passed away Nov. 13, 1949.

A member of the Methodist church, Mr. SHANSTROM spent his entire life in Jefferson county. After his retirement from the farm he moved to Fairfield and the family is located at 203 W. Monroe.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
