Mrs. Anna J. BATES SHANSTROM died Sun. afternoon. Bur. Evergreen. Born Mar. 19 1885 at Rome, Iowa, dau. of the late Dr. Thomas J. and Ruth Adams BATES; she and her husband celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Sept 5 1948 at their home, 203 W. Monroe St. Member First Lutheran Church, Fairfield. Husband, Isaac SHANSTROM, a sister, Maude L. PARSONS, and a brother Victor D. BATES, survive, as well as a niece and 3 nephews: Louise Enlow STEPHENSON, Cloyce Maynard ENLOW, Roger K. BATES and Kenneth Lee BATES, two grandnephews, Ronnie Joe and Randall Keith BATES. Preceded in death by a sister, Nelle B. HAGUE in 1927 and both parents. The father passed away May 28, 1946, the mother Oct. 20, 1945.
