DEATH TAKES W. E. DEXTER

William E. DEXTER, retired farmer, died this morning at the Jefferson County hospital. He was 71. DEXTER, who lived southeast of Fairfield, had been seriously ill for a week. He entered the hospital Monday.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

DEXTER was born Dec. 29, 1879 in Fairfield, son of John and Matilda MOUCH (sic - MOUCK) DEXTER. A lifelong resident of Jefferson county, he worked in the Fairfield area for many years after retiring from farming. He was married to Nora WILLIAMS, Jan. 28, 1917.

He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Frank CORNELL, also of Fairfield. One sister preceded him in death.
