MRS. THERESA THOMA DEAD.

Mrs. Theresa (sic - Terresea on her gravestone) THOMA passed peacefully across the river of death this morning at 7:55 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John BARTHOLOMEW, after an illness extending over several months.

Theresa IRRER THOMA was born in Wurtemburg, Germany September 28, 1828. On May 26, 1854, she was united in marriage to David THOMA after which they immediately sailed for America, landing at New York where they lived for nearly two years.

In 1856 Mr. and Mrs. THOMA came to Iowa and after living here for two years went to Kansas to make their home. In 1867 they returned to this city and lived the remmainder (sic) of their lives here.

On July 12, 1878 Mr. THOMA passed to the other world leaving his loving wife and children to be a comfort to each other. Seven children were born to them, three of whom have already entered the valley of the shadow of death. Four children, Mrs. Lena WURTZ of Stromsburg Nebraska; Mrs. E. O. WHITE of Grand Island, Nebraska; Mrs. John BARTHOLOMEW and Louis THOMA of this city are left to mourn the death of a loving mother.

Mrs. THOMA was a faithful and devout believer in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church here ever since she came to this city.

The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock at Saint Mary's Catholic church. Father H. J. Hogan will conduct the last services.
