MRS. R. M. BURKHART DIED LAST NIGHT. Mrs. Rhoda M. BURKHART died at her home on East Kirkwood Street last evening about nine o'clock after an illness of several months. Mrs. BURKHART was one of the early settlers of Jefferson County, coming here from Ohio in 1844. She was well known, especially among the older residents.

Mrs. BURKHART was born in Adams County, Ohio, in 1832, and spent her younger days there. Coming to Jefferson County, she grew to womanhood and on May 21, 1861, was married to J. G. BURKHART of near this city, who has long since preceded her in death. Mrs. BURKHART is survived by four children, G.W. BURKHART of this city, B.F. and Anna M., both of Los Angeles, Cal., and Rev. J. E. BURKHART of Roseburg, Oregon. A large number of other relatives and friends also survive....
