Funeral Services Tomorrow at 2:30 at the Home, Conducted by Rev. ScolesMrs. Sarah Penorah HOWARD passed away at her home, end of East Burlington street at, 5:30 p.m. yesterday after an illness of only two days. She had been in poor health for two years.
The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. H. B. Scoles of the First Methodist church.
Mrs. HOWARD was the daughter of John C. and Anna BRADSHAW. She was born Sept. 18 1856, three miles east of Fairfield. She has spent her entire life in Jefferson county. Converted in early life, she became a true and faithful member of the M. E. Church.
She was united in marriage to S. A. HOWARD October 24, 1877. To this union were born five children: Mrs. Anna HANEY at home; V. A. HOWARD of Chicago, Ill., J. R. Howard of LeRoy, Kansas; Mrs. J. C. LYNCH of Milton, and Ruby May who died in infancy. She also leaves nine grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, W. E. Bradshaw of Tacoma, Wash. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death several years.
Transcribers note: Husband's name was either Simpson Asbury or Asbury Simpson HOWARD. She had been married before as her marriage record to Mr. HOWARD shows her name as " Mrs. Penorah S. (BRADSHAW) DONALDSON." Mrs. HOWARD's birth date was listed as 25 September 1856 and her mother's maiden name was Anna WHITHAM - cited from "Death Records Bk. 5, p. 76. JEFFERSON COUNTY MARRIAGE Record #4809 and JEFFERSON COUNTY RECORDS by Orville & Mary Prill.

Mrs. Frank Pierson and Mrs. Arthur Greef sand "The Home of the Soul" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." The following men served as pall bearers: M. H. Cuddy, William Wells, Ralph Lamson, B. T. Rains, Perry Monfort, Edgar Cave and John Carr. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
P. A. HOWARD and family of Chicago, J. R. HOWARD and son of LeRoy, Kas., Mr. and Mrs. J. C. LYNCH of Milton, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Dow of Stockport and Rev. C. E. Vanderpool of Lockridge attended the funeral.
