ALMOST A CENTENARIAN. On Thursday last, in this city, occurred the death of an aged woman, one whose years had almost equalled those of a century -- Mrs. Ann ALEXANDER, ninety-one years, six months old. Her maiden name was Ann ALEXANDER, and she was born at McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, where she was married to Hugh ALEXANDER, and resided there until her husband's death, nearly fifty-six years ago. Deceased had been a resident of Fairfield about thirty-three years, coming here with her family in the pioneer days.
She was the mother of six children: W.K., R.W., A.C. Susan J., Martha M., and Sarah J., the latter being Mrs. POINSETT. All these children, with the exception of the last named, who died a few months ago, are living here today, the youngest, Clark, being fifty-six years of age, and their ages aggregate nearly three hundred years, greater perhaps than those of any family in the county.....
