F. M. DE KALB DIED YESTERDAY
Funeral Services Will Be Held Tomorrow at 2:30 From The Home

Frances M. DeKALB passed away yesterday afternoon at his home, 306 West Monroe street. He had been feeling ill for three days but his death was very much unexpected.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the home in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. Interment will take place at Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. DeKALB was born Oct. 1, 1862 near Donnellson, Iowa. He was married to Anna SCHOENE of near Donnellson, Jan. 31, 1888. They came to this city 8 years ago to make their home.

Besides the wife and following children survive, Mrs. William SMITHSON, Leo and Luella of this city, Pearl, a son who is in South America and Elsie who is teaching in the Albia schools.

FRANCIS DE KALB OF FAIRFIELD BURIED

Special to the Democrat.

Fairfield, Ia., April 27 - Francis M. DeKalb passed away Monday afternoon in his home after a short illness and funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the residence conducted by Dr. Gilbert Voorhies of the First Presbyterian church. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. DeKalb was born Oct. 1, 1862 near Donnellson. He married Miss Anna Schoene there Jan. 31, 1888 and they came to Fairfield about eight years ago. He is survived by his widow, a son, Peadl, in South America, a daughter, Elsie, teacher in the Albia schools, a son, Leo and two daughters, Louella and Mrs. William Smithson of this city.

DEKALB FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY
Services In Charge of Dr. Voorhies; Interment At Evergreen

Funeral services were held yesterday for F. M. DeKALB who passed away Monday afternoon, from the home, 306 West Monroe street in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies assisted by Dr. E. B. Turner. A quartett (sic) composed of Miss Cora Ball, Mrs. Gilbert Voorhies, William Cupp and Francis Cundy sang, "Nearer My God To Thee," and "Jesus, Lover Of My Soul." They were accompanied on the piano by Mrs. George Unkrich. The following men served as pall bearers, J. W. Price, C. W. Wade, Harry Hoffman Paul M. Hassler, Gilbert McClaren and Robert Gormly. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

To All Whom It May concern,

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of F. M. DeKALB, deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the district court of Jefferson county, and that Monday, May 16th, A. D., 1927, at 1:00 oclock p. m., it being the 19th day of the April term, 1927, of said court, has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said court this 29th day of April, 1927.
