MRS. JAMES B. BAILEY DEAD

Mrs. James B. BAILEY, wife of Contractor BAILEY, passed away this morning at 11 o'clock at her home on South Second street.

Mrs. BAILEY was suddenly stricken with paralysis yesterday morning and never regained consciousness, and this morning she answered the final summons.

The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 230 o'clock (sic) from the late residence, in charge of Rev. Keesey, and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. J. B. BAILEY'S FUNERAL MONDAY

The funeral services for Mrs. James B. BAILEY were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence in charge of Rev. Keesey, and the remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Emmaline Henriette BLOOMFIELD was born May 16, 1859, at Fairfield, Iowa, and departed this life March 4, 1916, at the age of 56 years, 9 months, 18 days. She was the youngest daughter of Charles and Mary BLOOMFIELD. Her entire life was spent in this city.

On June 20, 1877, she was united in marriage to James B. BAILEY, of Fairfield, Iowa. To the union ten children were born, eight of whom are now living, two having preceeded receded their mother in death--Alta May and Ada Bell both dying in childhood. She is survived by a sorrow-stricken husband and eight children, four of whom are married--Wm. A., Ralph, Clifford, and Mrs. Florence M. BATES--Marie, Gertrude, McKinley and Irene at home. Husband and children all being permitted to be with her during her last hours on earth. She is also survived by one half-sister and brother, Mrs. Clara SWAYLES of this city and Walter BRIM of Brighton.

At the age of eight years she united with the First M. E. church of this city and stood firm in her faith until death called.

She was a kind, loving wife and mother, ever striving to make her home one of joy and happiness--never tiring of life's many duties.
