Fred W. McCLAIN died Oct. 18, 1963, at Jefferson County Hospital.

Born Nov. 23, 1881, in Jefferson Co., on a farm just east of Fairfield, son of Robert Tell and Cora McCORMICK McCLAIN. Reared and educated in the Fairfield community and graduated with the class of 1900. Married, Sept. 21, 1904, in Fairfield, Alta Mae PARKER who survives. Have made their home in Fairfield the past 55 years.

Also survived by two sons, Glenn and Charles, both of Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. John BALL, Fairfield, and Mrs. Clarence THOMAS, Denver. Col., and 4 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Margaret Louise who died in 1942, and two brothers. Local realtor. In addition to his real estate experience of more than 50 years, he was also a car dealer and operated a filling station for some time on South Main. Methodist Church... Raymond Funeral Home.
