Mrs. Alta McCLAIN, 86, born Aug. 16, 1881, in Cedar Township, daughter of George and Olive (HECKATHORN) PARKER; reared and educated in Jefferson County; married Sept. 21, 1904, in Fairfield to Fred McCLAIN who died Oct. 18, 1963. Member Methodist Church. Died at Jefferson County Hospital Thurs. Home is at 408 W. Broadway.

Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. John (Gladys) BALL, Fairfield; and Mrs. Clarence C. (Catherine) THOMAS, Denver, Colo.; two sons, Glenn and Charles both of Fairfield; four grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Chris BLOUGH, Fairfield; Mrs. C. A. UNKRICH and Mrs. Richard BURACHER, both of Miami, Fla.; and Mrs. B. P. STOUT, Evanston, Ill., nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Louise, four sisters and two brothers. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Raymond Funeral Home.
