Hazel Marie JOHNSON only child of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. GLOTFELTY was born at Libertyville, Iowa, Oct. 2nd, 1900 and died at the Jefferson County hospital July 11, 1929, age 28 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Her father preceded her in death 4 years ago. She has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church since early youth. She graduated from the Fairfield High school with the class of 1919.

She was united in marriage to Carl JOHNSON June 25th, 1919. To this union two daughters were born, Helen Marie age 9, and June Elnora age 6. She leaves besides her husband and children, her mother, a host of relatives and also friends. She was a kind and loving mother, a devoted wife, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and loved her for her bright, happy and cheerful disposition. To know her was to love her.

(Updated from a partial obituary to a complete one by Sherri Meck (shlymeck@att.net) who researches the GLOTFELTY lineage as an extention of her LAWSON lineage, Sept. 2012.)

Admin. note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot 3rd.083. Husband Carl remarried to Hazel MEEKER (who subsequently married Kenneth KNECHT) and is buried with his second wife, not far from his first wife.
