MRS. FRANCES GLOTFELTY

Mrs. Frances Marian GLOTFELTY, who was born in Iowa Aug. 14, 1866, died yesterday here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee ODUM, 401 E. Lowe St. at 11:45 p.m. She had been in failing health for four years.

Her husband preceded her in death April 17 (sic - 18th), 1923, and she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. ODUM, at whose home she died, and one son, Ernest, and two grandchildren, James and Roger ODUM. One sister, Mrs. Amelia FOUNTAIN, of Kansas City, Kans., also survives.

The funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home, in Fairfield, in charge of Dr. M. A. Gable of the First Methodist church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. FRANCES M. GLOTFELTY

Frances Marion WHITSON, daughter of Caroline and Samuel WHITSON was born Aug. 14, 1866 in Jefferson county and had been a resident of Fairfield for the last twenty-four years. She was of a family of nine children but only one sister, Mrs. Armelia FOUNTAIN of Kansas City, Kansas survives her.

She was united in marriage to Walter E. GLOTFELTY Nov. 19, 190_ (sic - number faded, should be 1902) and was the mother of two children, one daughter, Mrs. Lee ODUM with whom she made her home, and one son, Earnest GLOTFELTY of this city.

She joined the Methodist Episcopal church some years ago and maintained her faith through the years. The husband and father preceded her in death in the year 1923.

Abut four years ago her health became impaired and she has been quite helpless most of the time. When well, she was active and energetic and was never afraid of the hard tasks of life and even when ill health overtook her she was more than anxious to do something for those she loved. Besides her two children she leaves two grand children, James and Roger ODUM several nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. She passed from earth, Sept. 28, 1936 aged 70 years, one month and 16 days. Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. M. A. Gable. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
