MRS. CAROLINE COWAN DIED LAST EVENING.

Mrs. Caroline Matilda COWAN.... at her home in Libertyville...

Born March 28, 1841, in Illinois... Survived by husband, William E. COWAN, and one son, W. O. COWAN, Wallace, Idaho, and two daughters, Mrs. LaVina MASON of Libertyville and Mrs. Nellie JAMES of Selma.

(Death record shows she was daughter of James McCAIN, born Alabama, and Jane CRAIG.)
