DIED, near Libertyville, Iowa, Dec. 17th, 1886, of consumption, Mrs. Louisa, wife of Mace CLARRIDGE, aged 46 years 9 months 18 days. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter SLIMMER and was born in Ross County, Ohio, Feb. 27th 1840. In 1853 she came with her parents to Jefferson County, Iowa, and was married to Mace CLARRIDGE Jan. 21st, 1858, and has resided near Libertyville up to the time of her death.... As a wife and mother she was ever kind and patient....

Note: Louisa was the second wife of Mace CLARRIDGE; he was first married to Massa PARKER who died in 1851. All three are buried in Fell Cemetery, Mace dying in 1904.
