Death of Rev. Wm. CLARRIDGE, a well known resident of Liberty Township, at the home of his brother, Mace CLARRIDGE, Dec. 12. Son of Edmund and Eleanor CLARRIDGE, born in Fayette Co., Ohio, Oct. 7, 1815.... Fell Cemetery.

Rev. Wm. CLARRIDGE born Fayette Co., Ohio, Oct. 7, 1815; died at the home of his brother Mace in Libertyville, Iowa, at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 12, 1894. Son of Edmund and Eleanor CLARRIDGE; married Mary Ann LEAVELL Nov. 29, 1842.

One daughter was born to them Oct. 2, 1843, who lived only 28 days. Summer of 1843 they removed to Iowa. Oct. 1, 1844, his wife died. He never again married. Methodist preacher.... Fell Cemetery.

Note: We have no record of burial for the daughter mentioned above. Given the distance in dates between her birth and William's death it's possible the daughter was born and died before William and Mary Ann came to Iowa, or an incorrect date for their arrival in Iowa was recalled.
