He had been in failing health for the last three yearsEdwin BROBSTON, 83, passed away at his home in Libertyville this morning at 1:30 o'clock. He had been in failing health for three years, and seriously ill for six weeks.
The body was taken this morning to the Hoskins funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Clifton BROBSTON of Kansas City, Ezra BROBSTON of Libertyville and Iliff BROBSTON of Birmingham. Three surviving daughters are Miss Ethel BROBSTON of Geneva, Ill., Miss Winona BROBSTON of Chicago, and Miss Opal BROBSTON of Libertyville.
Mr. BROBSTON was born on March 23, 1856. He moved to Libertyville from his farm in 1925. His wife preceded him in death in 1930.

Funeral services for Edwin BROBSTON will be held tomorrow, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Methodist church at Libertyville. Rev. Waterman will be in charge. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body was taken to the BROBSTON home this morning from the Hoskins Funeral Home.

EDWIN BROBSTON
Edwin BROBSTON was born March 23, 1856, died December 18, 1939 age 83 years, 8 months, 18 days. He was born and grew to manhood at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He was married March 24, 1878 to Eliza Ann COURTNEY. To this union seven children were born, six of whom are now living: Clint of Kansas City; Ezra of Libertyville; Iliff of Birmingham; Ethel of Geneva, Ill.; Winnie of Chicago, and Opal who has been at home with her father for the past three years. One daughter, Mrs. G. S. SHEKETON and Mrs. BROBSTON preceded him in death.
Mr. BROBSTON lived on a farm near Birmingham until 1925 when he moved to Libertyville, Iowa where he lived until the time of his death.
He was a man of sterling qualities, honest and dependable, a kind good neighbor and friend.
Almost his entire life was spent in this community. He was respected and liked by all who knew him. Beside the children he leaves eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Libertyville. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in this city.
