Mrs. Edwin D. BROBSTON passed away last evening at 4 oclock at her home near Libertyville after an illness of five weeks. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake CORTNEY (sic - COURTNEY), born ten miles northeast of Fairfield, Marth 9, 1857. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lake, who passed away in 1905 at the age of 26 years. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the home at Libertyville. Burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
She is survived by her husband and the following children, Clinton, Ezra, Iliff, Ethel, Winona and Opal, all of near Libertyville, and 11 grandchildren.

MRS. EDWIN BROBSTON
Eliza Ann COURTNEY, eldest daughter of Jacob and Hannah COURTNEY, was born March 9, 1857 at Richwoods, Ia., and passed away at her home in Libertyville, Ia., June 15, 1930 at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 6 days.
She was united in marriage to Edwin D. BROBSTON, March 24th, 1878. To this union was born 7 children one of whom Mrs. Lake SHEKELTON, preceeded (sic) her in death.
She is survived by the husband and the following children, Clinton of Sioux City, Ezra of Birmingham, Iliff of Fairfield, Ia., Ethel, Winnie and Opal of Chicago, Ill., eleven grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was united with the Church of God at Richwoods in her early girlhood.
She was of akind (sic) and loving disposition a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed in her home and by those who knew her best.
Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, June 17 at 2 p.m. Rev. Magers officiated. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Ia.
