Fairfield, Ia., Oct. 12 - The funeral of Gust Peterson, a well known resident of Jefferson county, was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Upland church near Lockridge and the burial took place in the cemetery. Mr. Peterson passed away Sunday night, southeast of Lockridge. He was 63 years old and came to Jefferson county from Sweden in 1881. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Marshall of Madison, Wis., Carl of Galesburg, Ill., Walter of Burlington, Mrs. Charles Murphy of Lockridge and Clarence, Raymond, Anna and Minnie who are at home. There are also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. George Sturgis of Fairfield, Dorothy, Albine and Charles, all of Madison, Wis.
